After a long career as a scientist with the US Environmental Protection Agency, I now enjoy writing in a variety of genres, including humor, suspense, drama, mystery, and science fiction. My writing, while addressing both the good and bad of real life, intentionally offers hope. Accordingly, I avoid gratuitous language or intense violence in stories, believing creative and exciting fiction can thrive with a moral focus.
I am married and have three grown children. My wife and I live in Texas. I enjoy travel, reading, hiking, mentoring, foreign languages, and spirited conversation with friends and family. I do my best to tolerate those fix-up projects around the house for which I have no talent, notable Egocentrics, and the temperatures of Texas summer days that rival some punishment delivered in the circles of hell of Dante’s Inferno. I am very negative about squirrels that chew their ways into attics. However, all of life provides rich raw material for writing, and for the sum of those experiences I am very grateful.
